“Originally raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rev. Chris Godwin got his start in Neo-paganism in the late nineties. He has been a pagan for 16 years, and in that time has tried out Taoism, Wicca, and general paganism before discovering modern druidism in 2001. Since then he has been involved in the formation of two Druid congregations in Houston and one here in Austin. As a Neo-Druid and a religious lay scholar, Rev. Godwin believes in the importance of the roles of science & logic in religion & spirituality. He currently volunteers his time to improve Austin’s interfaith atmosphere, organizes cleanups through Keep Austin Beautiful, and offers a non-destructive spiritual alternative to the Abrahamic Religions while heralding the benefits of embracing myth, magic, and merriment.”
